Sungava Homes successfully inaugurated its newly constructed building on December 1st 2025, marking a significant milestone in our organization’s mission to provide enhanced care, support, and opportunities for women with intellectual disabilities.
The new building was constructed by Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) with special initiation and coordination from KMC Ward No. 15. The interior works were completed through the generous support of NAFA Queensland Australia, Universe of Sound (Singapore), NRNA Canada, and SEWA Canada, whose contributions have strengthened the facility’s comfort, safety, and functionality.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by Mr. Ishwor Man Dangol, Ward Chief of KMC Ward No. 15, who officially inaugurated the building.
The program was chaired by Ms. Subarna Kesari Chitrakar, President of Sungava Homes, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to all supporters, government authorities, and well-wishers for making this milestone possible.
The event brought together community leaders, partners, donors, and members of Sungava Homes, celebrating a shared commitment to empowerment, inclusion, and improved services.
With this new infrastructure, Sungava Homes aims to expand its programs, enhance rehabilitation services, and create a more enabling environment for its beneficiaries.
Sungava Homes extends warm thanks to every individual and organization who contributed to this achievement.
